Rawa Activities LLC and/or its affiliates or related entities (hereinafter individually and collectively referred to as “Rawa”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal data in compliance with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection (“PDPL”) and other applicable laws. We provide an interactive platform and related physical products designed to help individuals (“Users”, “you” or “your”), including children, learn Arabic and other languages through engaging content, such as videos, audios, quizzes, games and flashcards (“Platform”). This privacy policy (hereinafter, the “Privacy Policy”) outlines how Rawa collects, uses, processes, and shares personal information from the Users of the Platform.

By accessing or using the Platform and its related services, you, as the parent or legal guardian supervising the child’s use of the Platform, hereby acknowledge, agree, and consent to the collection, processing, and storage of personal and/or sensitive data as outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, you (and your child) should immediately discontinue use of the Platform and all related services.

  • Contact Data: Email address. phone number and delivery address (in case of purchase of flashcards that needed to be physically delivered).

  • Profile Data: Includes username, preferences, feedback, survey responses, interests, purchase history, and activities on the Platform.
  • Location Data: Includes location information, such as GPS coordinates (if the User grants such permission).

6. CONSENT AND WAIVER

7. DATA RETENTION

Rawa retains personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required by UAE law. Data no longer needed is securely deleted or anonymised. It is hereby clarified that if a User requests account erasure/deletion, Rawa will initiate the processing of such request without undue delay (in any event within 90 (ninety) days). During this period, the relevant User’s account will be deactivated, and the User will be logged out of the Platform. If the User chooses to revoke the erasure/deletion request within the said timeframe, the request will be cancelled, and the account will remain active. In the absence of such revocation, all personal data associated with the account will be permanently deleted, except where required by applicable laws and regulations.

8. CHILDREN’S DATA

Rawa complies with the requirements of the PDPL regarding the processing of children’s data. Rawa collects and processes such data only with verifiable parental or guardian consent, applies the principle of the best interests of the child, and implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that children’s data is handled securely, confidentially, and solely for the educational purposes described in this Policy. Children’s data is not used for profiling, targeted marketing, or automated decision-making that may affect the child. For the purposes of this Policy, a “child” refers to any individual under the age of 18 years, unless otherwise defined under applicable UAE law.

  • object to processing for marketing or non-essential purposes;
  • request for deletion/erasure of the account in accordance with this Privacy Policy (in such case, the relevant data shall be deleted except as required for compliance with relevant laws); and
  • such other rights as the UAE PDPL provides.

12. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

14. PARTIAL INVALIDITY

If any provision of this Privacy Policy or the application thereof or circumstance shall be invalid or unenforceable to any extent, the remainder of this Privacy Policy and the application of such provision to you or circumstances other than those as to which it is held invalid or unenforceable shall not be affected thereby, and each provision of this Privacy Policy shall be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
